Went there for a cider and music festival, and what a fantastic festival it was (Thank you fuelled by cider) as for Pontins Sandy Bay... I have no complaints... Room... Clean, tidy and bright and cheerful in colour. Bed clean and well made. Toilet/ shower very clean well aired, no sign of damp or mold, only draw back, 2 can't fit in the shower at the same time :-);-) ... The site well managed. Food, breakfast and dinner, spot on for us, always plenty no matter what time we went, home cooked style with great taste. Dining area always very very clean and welcoming for large number of people. Function area very spacious for large events ( could do with a bit of modernization, but as always, Clean and tidy) small events room to the back, a great little hang out when needed a break:-). Toilet very well looked after, cleaned throughout the day. Parking plenty and a beach on the doorstep. And, the staff, bloody amazing:-D... Thank you to all... Considering there must of been 400 plus... Pontins Sandy Bay and staff were f*#king great... And, the ... Fuelled by Cider lot, thumbs up to you all... 5 star all round:-)
We wish we had picked a time when it would have been warmer that is our fault. Third time back and really enjoyed ourselves Be back when the weather warms up. Pleased repair the dance floor ref details given, you could have had 5 Stars
Amazing! Picture a holiday park in 1958 but with better food (although you'll still have to queue for it). We stayed there for In Cider festival, and it was excellent. I'd have preferred them to have outside food stalls with great festival food but what they offered was perfectly good with good veggie and began option. Although our room had just been decorated, it was still like a very basic cheap hotel. They supplied, bedding, towels and even shower gel. It is very tatty, I wouldn't choose it for a holiday, but for the festival in February, it's brilliant.
Very dated and clearly had no investment into any part of the accommodation or guest areas in a long time. Very basic low quality room and food was cheap mass catering with little care to taste or guest enjoyment. We only went as part of a festival we didn't choose the venue ourselves. The staff did the best they could with what they had but without significant investment their efforts can't mask the problems here.
Have been here many times, good entertainment, lovely staff, currently undergoing a refurbishment. Food is always wonderful. Awesome base to go exploring the numerous other places that are a stone throw away. I plan to go back again soon. Reception is always polite and helpful what more can you ask for?
